of the steel making process; the renowned first world war poet
Ivor Gurney; Sir William Wintour of Lydney, Vice Admiral of
the Fleet against the Spanish armada: and visitors to the forest
include Rupert Brooke, Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon, poets
who portrayed the horrors of First World War.
