Exeter Castle

Come and discover the attractions at the Exeter Castle Site

Cookery Theatre

With the castle as a backdrop, the huge celebrity cookery theatre will feature celebrity chefs demonstrating the best in regional and seasonal cooking, including Lesley Waters, Michael Caines, James Tanner and many more – see the programme of events for the full demonstration schedule.

The cookery theatre is kindly sponsored by 3663.

‘The Contented Cow’ Beer Festival

The brewers of the South West England Beer Festival are back once more! Join us in the ‘Contented Cow’ to sample some of the region’s finest real ales and ciders. This year you will find us in the Castle Courtyard outside the Cookery Theatre; there are also plenty of stalls there to tempt your taste buds, so an obvious choice when wanting to relax with a drink and a bite to eat.

There will be 15 draught beers from Barum Brewery, Branscombe Vale Brewery, Clearwater Brewery, Exe Valley Brewery and Otter Brewery, with ciders from Green Valley Cider.

Many of the staff are volunteers from CAMRA who are very knowledgeable about beer; if you are unsure about the choices do ask for their advice.

The Beer Festival is sponsored by Foot Anstey, and is supported by CAMRA (www.camra.org.uk).

Enjoy the Beer Festival, but please remember...
DON’T DRINK & DRIVE.

Food and Drink Stands

Make sure that you visit the stands located in Exeter Castle too. Relax in the seating area whilst you enjoy some of the finest West Country produce available.
