Day 1
Arrive at your accommodation. Options range from luxury hotels to quaint B&B's.
Visit the magnificent Roman Baths, built around Britain's only hot spring.
Stop by for a light lunch or afternoon tea in the Pump Room.
Pamper yourself in the same warm, mineral-rich thermal waters that the Celts and Romans enjoyed over 2000 years ago at Thermae Bath Spa.
Sample some of Baths varied nightlife - cocktail bars or traditional pubs along with nightclubs, theatres and stand-up comedy venues.
Day 2
Visit Bath Abbey, climb the 212 steps to the top of the tower for unrivalled panoramic views of the city.
After lunch, take a free walking tour of the city centre with one of the Mayor of Bath Honorary Guides, or if walking is not your style, hop-on/hop-off open-top bus tours of the city depart at regular intervals.
Take in an evening show at the grand Theatre Royal.
Day 3
Stroll along the world renowned Royal Crescent, and stop by at No. 1 Royal Crescent for a wonderful picture of fashionable life in 18th Century Bath.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful 57 acre Royal Victoria Park, complete with aviary, boating pond and children's play areas.
After dinner experience a spooky evening ghost walk of Bath.
Day 4
Spend the morning at the Victoria Art Gallery, entry is free and you can enjoy the work of many leading artists from the 15th century to the present day.
Try a famous Sally Lunn Bun!
Spend the afternoon shopping. Head to Walcot Street for independent art, craft and design shops, the indoor Guildhall Market for a range of interesting stalls, or Milsom Place - home to a sophisticated collection of shops selling designer fashions, accessories, shoes and more.
Dine in style: Bath has some world class restaurants serving exquisite locally sourced food.
Day 5
Spend a day exploring the area surrounding Bath. Situated within 120 acres of wonderful grounds and stunning scenery, the American Museum in Britain is home to the finest collection of Americana outside of the United States.
Or you could visit Farleigh Hungerford Castle, an impressive castle hiding a sinister past.
For speed enthusiasts there's the Castle Combe Circuit, just a few miles away from Bath with fast racing cars and motorbikes, classic cars and rallies year-round.
Day 6
Discover life during Regency times and learn how the city of Bath affected its most famous resident's life and writing at the Jane Austen Museum.
Blow some glass at the Bath Aqua Theatre of Glass (or leave it to the professionals!)
Alternatively spend the afternoon punting on the river, there's a great family friendly pub at the furthest end of the boating area.
If you're no too tired take the kids to the award winning Egg Children's Theatre.
Day 7
Explore the Fashion Museum for a world-class collection of contemporary and historical dress.
Or perhaps the Radstock Museum celebrating the lifestyle of the typical Somerset coalminer.
End your trip in style with a Hot Air Balloon ride over the city.
